With more than 16 years of experience as a travel agent, I am committed to motivating and assisting adventurers like you in discovering the world and overcoming your fears to chase your dreams.
What have I been up to?
A New Season...
The past 12 months or so have been a huge year of change, growth and healing for me. A year of transition and feeling in-between seasons. A year of loss, letting go, setting boundaries, starting over and working out what's next?
Perhaps you can relate? Whether it is a change of job, changes in your health, the loss of someone you love (or don't), kids leaving home or having to relocate...these things can cause you to re-evaluate your life and what and who is important to you. Are you where you want to be?
It can also be a chance to find yourself, rediscover your passions, your needs and your dreams. I discovered something huge about myself in the past year that was like a light bulb moment and explained SO much about my life so far. I might share on that in future blogs. Have you ever had one of those moments?
I say all this because I want to encourage you if you are feeling a little lost or overwhelmed that you are NOT alone. Don't give up! It is always dark before the morning. Think of the struggles as turbulence on a road to your destination. Things may not go as you expect, or maybe it's not coming together as fast as you want and you need to learn to be patient in the process? (I am guilty! of that sometimes!) Every season can teach us something if you take time to self-reflect and grow.
Anyway, one of my big changes is pausing my travel agent business to focus on 'Love Life & Travel'. I realized as much as I love travel, I don't want the stress of booking other people's travel anymore! I would rather share my experience and knowledge to help others plan their own trips! I will do this by creating blogs, videos and guides for 'Love Life & Travel'. I enjoy the creative process and working with brands a lot more than selling! I feel such a relief to finally make this decision.
I am excited to see the new things that 2026 will bring. I am hoping for more joy, more peace and more adventures.

A taste of Scotland
Tonight I experienced a wee taste of Scotland and I can’t wait to go back!
We were entertained by bagpipes & fiddles, had the chance to try black pudding, haggis, oatcakes and Scotch Whisky and learnt about some of the fantastic tours of Scotland with Trafalgar Tours, Insight Vacations, Costsaver Tours and Contiki. From Lochs to Castles, you will see the best of Scotland on these tours…trust me!

Celebrating My Birthday in Canada
There’s something undeniably special about celebrating your birthday while travelling. A sense of freedom. Perspective. Magic.
This year, my birthday arrived while I was in Montreal, Canada, on December 28 and it felt like a dream I didn’t know I’d been holding onto for years. Instead of the familiar Australian summer heat, with sweat trickling down my back, I woke to softly falling snow and streets dusted in white. Winter had wrapped the city in its quiet, cinematic beauty.
I spent most of the day wandering through Old Town Montreal (my absolute favourite part of the city, if I’m honest). Cobblestone streets, historic buildings, frosted rooftops: it felt like stepping into a European fairytale.
I enjoyed a delicious birthday lunch at Pangea Restaurant, before heading out for a playful photoshoot around the city… complete with MASSIVE birthday balloons that turned plenty of heads and sparked more than a few smiles.
But beyond the snow and celebration, the day gave me space to reflect.
Looking back on the past year, I felt an overwhelming sense of pride.
I had started and grown my own travel business, completed a Certificate in Digital Marketing (just for fun), and continued my Travel Coach training to complement my travel consulting work.
One of my proudest moments? Travelling solo to Washington D.C. in September to see my favorite band perform, while also filming content for a tourism board and a hotel. All of this while navigating significant personal challenges and ongoing health hurdles.
So yes… GO ME.
This birthday wasn’t just a celebration of another year older. It was a celebration of resilience, courage, growth, and proof that I can do hard things: even when life feels heavy.
Bring on 2026.

Sunflowers on Kent
IT is that time of year when Sunflowers are in full bloom, so I just had to visit my favourite Sunflower farm in Kalbar.
For $20 entry you can cut your own sunflowers and get some stunning photographs.
Visited White Ridge Farm
Earlier this month I visited White Ridge Farm in Elimba, about an hour north of Brisbane.
This award-winning farm is a great place to go with young children. From feeding the chickens, patting goats, donkeys and Llamas and so much more, there is plenty to keep everyone entertained.
This family-owned and run farm is the only open-to-the-public animal farm in the Brisbane and Moreton Bay region that doesn’t require bookings.
White Ridge Farm has a passion for creating memorable experiences where everyone can connect with animals, nature, and each other.
Purling Brook Falls Hike
Hike to the waterfall they said - it will be fun they said! ha-ha!
Purling Brook Falls is located in the Gold Coast Hinterland. This stunning waterfall is part of Springbrook National Park and is definitely worth a visit.
Once at the bottom the view is spectacular! Sit at the base of the falls and enjoy a picnic (bring a waterproof rug to put over the rocks to sit on as they will most likely be wet).
There are 265 steps on this walk and it's easier to walk in a clockwise direction. If you are physically fit, then this hike may be a breeze for you however for me it was a STRUGGLE and a half, Especially the hike back up to the picnic area. I would recommend good hiking boots and hiking poles for stability as there is plenty of uneven ground.
With the beauty of sheer cliffs and waterfalls also comes danger, always check Park Alerts for the latest conditions and closures, especially in wet weather. Always stick to the track - a slip could be fatal.
The circuit took me around 2 hours to complete at a very leisurely pace allowing for several stops to catch my breath, but it was definitely worth the effort and is highly recommended.
Visited Highland Hideaway Farm
If you know me, you will know how much I love Highland Cows. I have always wanted to get up close to some when I go to Scotland. So, imagine my excitement when I had the opportunity to have that experience MUCH closer to home.
A huge thank you to Trevor at Highland Hideaway Farm Tour for giving me the chance to spend time with your Highland cows! I will be back to enjoy the full tour experience soon and to feature it in a future vlog.
